Sylvia Sharps

Sylvia L. Sharps is an ordained Minister, Author (Could Jesus Be Your Roommate and Lil Sylvia’s Adventures), National Speaker/Facilitator, Community Engagement Director, and Grant Writer/Manager. Sylvia is also the founder of the Worldwide Community Alliance Corporation, a non-profit that assists domestic violence victims and helps communities become true examples of sustained livability.
In 2019–2020, Sylvia was recognized by Palm Beach County's Rock the Dot department for her community outreach efforts to raise awareness and help end domestic violence. She has received numerous awards for her volunteer work with residents throughout the State of Florida.
Her extensive work with government, political representatives, and community leaders has earned her the respect and recognition of both governmental entities and private corporations. Sylvia has facilitated many workshops and seminars across the United States, focusing on relationships, human rights, business development, women’s issues, and funding availability for municipalities, counties, small businesses, and non-profit organizations. She is also a strong advocate for domestic violence victims, youth, senior citizens, and the creation of sustainable neighborhoods.
As a survivor of domestic violence and a mother to an only child who was lost during this period of her life, she has been blessed to serve as a mother figure to 32 children whose lives have been enriched through her experience, wisdom, and empathy.
