Royal Palm Beach Virtual Inspections

In cooperation with VUSPEX, the Village of Royal Palm Beach Building Division is offering:
VIRTUAL INSPECTIONS!
Many in-progress building inspections may be completed virtually!
Your cell phone’s camera will be utilized through the process, connecting you directly to your State Certified VRPB Inspector.
Step one: Schedule your inspection by 2pm the day prior to your required inspection via our automated IVR phone system identified on your permit.
Step two: The morning of your pre-scheduled inspection call 561-790-5128 between 7:45am and 8:15 am to speak to an inspector and establish a time range for your Virtual Inspection.
Step three: Within your specific time range established you will receive a text from VUSPEX/RPB, Accept and follow the prompts forwarded to your phone.
Through your cell phone’s camera you would:
- Verify your locations address numbers
- Verify required permit documents
- Show the inspector the requested components of your construction.
Examples of eligible virtual inspections are currently:
In progress Roof inspections.
Water Heater change outs.
Mechanical AC change outs.
Electric Service change outs.
Garage and Entry Door change outs.
All inspections in person and virtual are required to be scheduled by 2 pm the previous day of requested inspection. If you or your contractor are interested in scheduling a virtual inspection, please call:
561-790-5128 Between 7:45 am and 8:15 am the morning of your scheduled inspection.
Virtual Inspections are currently performed around the middle and towards the end of the work day.
As we do seek to expand this efficient service please understand not all inspections may be competently performed virtually. Therefore your inspector, may require an in person inspection.
