Education & Professional

Councilwoman Jan Rodusky holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Kent State University. She began her public service career as the Assistant to the Community Coordinator in University Heights, Ohio, where she was later honored with the Key to the City.

Jan has spent over 25 years in the nonprofit sector, with deep experience in grant writing, fund development, and grantmaking across the arts, healthcare, and education. She has administered $57 million in grants to nonprofits and raised nearly $20 million writing them. She served as Chief Grants Officer at the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County and previously built the grantmaking program at Palm Healthcare Foundation. In 2019, she launched Venn There Grants Consulting, LLC, where she helps nonprofit organizations and grant professionals build sustainable systems, supporting more than 50 organizations to win more grants for long-term sustainability. 

Community Involvement

Councilwoman Rodusky has long been an advocate for public art and cultural engagement in Royal Palm Beach. She was instrumental in advocating for and passing the Village’s Art in Public Places ordinance in 2018, bringing enhanced artistic experiences to the community. She championed events like Shakespeare in the Palms, helping bring live theater to Commons Park, and continues to work toward increasing access to the arts in everyday village life.

Her past community service includes leadership roles on the boards of Leadership Palm Beach County, Resource Depot, the Association of Fundraising Professionals and several others. She began her local involvement as a member of the Royal Palm Beach Recreation Advisory Board in 1997.

Family & Personal

Jan and her family have lived in the Village of Royal Palm Beach since 1996, where they enjoy Friday night concerts, the green market, and connecting with their neighbors at Royal Palm’s signature events. Whether supporting youth programs, engaging in the arts, or advocating for smart growth and sustainability, Jan remains deeply committed to the Village and the people who call it home.
