Royal Palm Beach Boulevard Resurfacing Project; Lane Closures March 9–27

The Village of Royal Palm Beach will be implementing traffic pattern changes as part of a roadway resurfacing project along Royal Palm Beach Boulevard.

Beginning Monday, March 9 through Friday, March 27, one lane of Royal Palm Beach Boulevard, from Meadowlark Drive to the parking lot entrance north of Poinciana Boulevard, will be closed daily from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The roadway work will be completed in phases, with only one half of the road consisting of base rock at a time. Outside of working hours, the roadway will reopen; however, sections may remain without asphalt during the duration of the project.

Flaggers will be present on site during daytime operations to assist with traffic flow. Nighttime signage will be posted throughout the construction zone. Due to the transition from asphalt to base rock, the speed limit within the work zone will be reduced to 15 mph for the safety of motorists and workers.

Electronic message boards will be placed just north of Poinciana Boulevard (facing southbound traffic) and near Village Walk Drive (facing northbound traffic) to notify residents in advance. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible.

Drivers are advised to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, and use caution when traveling through the affected area as traffic patterns may shift during construction activities.
